I, Sangmi Kim, specialize in social and psychological impacts of communication and information technologies (e.g. mobile devices, Internet, TV, etc), Information Behavior (IB), network communication, ubiquitous media, social and cultural impacts of digital technology, culture, and policy in Japan and S. Korea. I received a top paper awards from The Japan Society for Socio-information Studies (JSIS) in 2004. My current research is funded by Hoso Bunka Foundation, Collaborative Research From Research and Education Promotion Division ,General Affairs Department Project from NII and Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research(as coopeartive researcher). I also worked with Image Institute of Konica Minolta company focusing on the Transformation of Digital Media Project and acquired Hideo Yoshida Foundation, Ogawa Foundation and etc. I am also currently working with Yoshiaki Hashimoto's research projects (Information Behavior 2005 project).
